So it was late afternoon and the deer were down.  I hit the open country in the hopes of glassing one up.  Sure enough, I spot this guy literally a half mile away.
I need to be about where the red x is to get some good photos.

I figure out about where a road will take me and plot a course with landmarks then head that direction.  Thats where I was headed when I ran into the buck featured in the poached buck thread.  This guys twin.  After fooling with him, I made it over to the right spot and started my stalk.  Soon I was within 20 yards of the doe and about 30 of the buck.

I was wondering what to do...how long to wait.  I knew the doe would hear me anytime and blow, and he was basically facing me.  Then I heard a buck grunt off to my left.  The buck stood up and stretched and headed to his doe.

Then look at who came out of the brush.
The buck mounted her about 5 minutes later while I was headed back to my truck and then he moved on.  Got r done, then left.

dang dude...i'd like to find a couple 4x4's like that some time...through a different type lense(leupold) though for starters.
